This old bull moose has seen better days, not that he would ever admit it. Despite the scarring around his antler on the left side of this image, the fact his ear – or perhaps the nerves connected to it – on the right has sustained significant damage and now flops lifelessly, and the eye on the left is clouded and slightly out of line, despite all of that, he fought several rounds that day last September with another large bull. He’s got guts. You’ve got to give him that.
